Three channel video, variable dimensions
The three videos show the light moving on a statue from different perspectives. This sculpture, a representation of Antipodes permanently exposed at the Modena’s Cathedral Museum, is one of the eight metopes realised to decorate the exterior buttresses of the church. In 1948 these sculptures were relocated in the museum’s room, moved from their original architectural context. I looked at the light from the exhibition space’s window as a trace of that change and I observed it influencing the perception of the sculptures.
