During a residency period spent traveling throughout Albania, I worked in Albanian historic locations, looking for the links between the political propaganda and the archeological discoveries during the Italian occupation of the country and the Communist period. The work reflects on the role of historical memory in the creation of political and national identity, combining different types of images: archive footage from AQSHF (Albanian film archive) and images from magazines and books, photographs taken in archeological sites, texts about my experience.
